I guess my issue isn't with trading Laine, it's that there's no money to pay Morrissey so I'd make it Perreault and Comrie to Ottawa so that Kulikov comes off the books and we can sign Josh. I also don't think Brassard is an upgrade over Little at 2C.

McAvoy has been a little injury prone but if we're trading Laine as long as it's basically a 1 for 1 and we get back a young top pair RHD to address the teams biggest need or a young 1B Center then I'd be ok.
