I doubt Hornqvist would waive to go to Florida.

They get a young back up goalie. A great defensive prospect and arguably pens best prospect. And hornqvists point per game ratio was pretty good for someone who got 3rd line minutes and spent some of the time on the 2nd powerplay unit with guentzels breakout season. And they get a 2nd. And johnson isnt horrible just overpaid and florida need depth defenders

I don't see either of those trades. Florida one makes them worse (even though they're getting more in quantity it's less in quality).
As for Calgary not sure why they'd give all of that for a UFA expiring Brodie (who as a Flames fan could be super frustrating and a poor man's Schultz). Derek Ryan was a good guy for us but Flames absolutely rob that trade.

Both Hörnqvist and Johnson are over paid, and Jarry and Addison won’t get you Hoffman.

Panthers don’t have the cap space nor want a bum in Johnson and hornqvist isn’t really that good unless he’s in the power play or playing with someone who can shoot the puck off his shin

And a 2nd. And hoffmans value isnt that great with his off ice issues. So FLA lucky if they get a return like this.

He was playing 3rd pine minutes for the most part last year and wasnt always on the top powerplay unit. And had a decent production average.

Half his goals came On the power play. He cost more than hoffman and is only gonna keep declining. Panthers don’t need older players and especially not Johnson. Those two are your guys mess until their contracts up.

There was one incident and was his wife. I’m pretty sure his value is just as high as before that came out. You don’t find 70 point 30 goal scorers out of no where. I don’t see Florida trading him and if they do they’ll get a top 4 d man or a prospect who will fill into a top 6 role and a pick

Lol it was one instant and since then nothing at all, they both have been great in Florida. His skill set requires a premium payment, stop the nonsense of “off ice issues” to justify lowering his value because just ignorant. His value is a top defenseman or top 6 prospect and high pick. The Cats are more than happy to keep him if they don’t get that in return.

Also getting 3 young good players not just them. And hornqvist is still playing well and if johnson is that bad then he can be exposed to seattle in the expansion draft

Addison is a prospect who could be a top 4 guy and they get a pick and a good young goalie. And a decent top to middle six winger in hornqvist.

Exposes. That means having to give seattle something in return to take Johnson. So he’s stuck on the pens unless you’re giving up something good for him to a team that can afford him. Panthers aren’t that team. And the 2 prospects and a pick is a good start but not enough.

No they are not looking to move him. Maybe if they got panarin it would make sense but now it doesn’t

@Kosterjr
Well he's also a pending UFA and so is Dadonov and they will both requires huge raises. They currently have 4.8 million in space and have 6 RFAs to sign. With salary cap maybe going up by only 2-4 million.

That’s if they got Panarin, not now. As for next year we will see what the cap is. Dadanov will take a discount he loves playing with Barkov, I can only see him leaving to play with Panarin.

Yeah both of them will take about 1 million more to stay where they’re at. And they free up another 4 million next year in cap space with not too many people to resign.

Thats very wishful thinking, theyre both superstars and they will both want at least 3 million more than what theyre getting now.
