The Liljegren trade will make the Habs better because in a couple of years Poehling and Kotkaniemi are going to need new contracts and those will most likely be five million average for 5 years or something like that. Weber takes up almost eight million of space so there is now space to sign Poehling and KK.

Laine wanted out of Winnipeg so what better way to get him out than offer sheet him?
