Description

This entire offseason - whether you agree or not - has attempted to bring the penguins back to their true identity. Surrounding top talent with speed with defense who can move the puck. Losing kessel hurt, but I think re-igniting this team's identity will be more than enough to compete.

Also, might need more than 4.5 to sign Gardiner. If thats the case, move an 8th defenseman to find the space. Or I'd be okay with giving MP a longer term for slightly less $$

A you're over the cap, and B who's your Hornqvist replacement, he's not going to play 82 games and you don't have a forward healthy scratch

You were totally right. Forgot to recheck the cap space after I moved Johnson in. Edited, what do you think now?

23 man is still over, but that's easily fixable, just don't give MP quite as much, roughly 2x2 is probably fair

Gardiner isn't worth 4.5 million. He had back issues all last year. That's why no one has signed him yet. There is no need to take that kind of risk, especially on anything longer than a 1 year deal.
