Description

The trades are nice because they are different conferences, it helps NYR free up cap space and SJ get the firepower needed to round out their top 9. The trade idea was proposed by a NYR fan. Please give opinions on the trade and lineup.

1) Drop the Rentention
2) Swap Karlsson for Suomela (the point is to cut cap)
3) Strome is a 3rd on his own. So Would you rather include him, drop the 6th and change the 4th to 3rd or drop those components and go to the originally proposed deal?

Swap merkley with lebanc and drop the condition on the pick and we have got ourselves a deal. Lebanc is from the NY area and I always thought that he would be a great fit with NYR.

yeah rangers pass. Merkley can be a potential stud, but we already have trouba, fox, deangelo, shattenkirk and Lundkvist for the right side. doesn't fit a real need for the rangers anymore.. melker karlsson is just a bottom 6 forward that is 29, his best days are behind him. Strome > Karlsson, Kreider > 2nd and 4th and as I said, Merkley doesn't fit
