Well Zacha still has time to improve, but Johnson is the guaranteed playmaking center. He immediately adds more scoring to the team. Hughes,Hischier, and Johnson down the middle is a major threat. I can see why you want to keep him, but if Zacha doesn't perform this upcoming year then he's gotta be the guy out

but its relative, zacha is an elite penalty killer, and has proven a solid defender. There is only upside and what set him apart at the draft was his offensive skillset. and at 2MM, its a bargain shut down center, who could potentially if utilized with the right players be a coutourier type producer

its very low risk to sign him, teams will always need budget center depth and is supremely tradeable. if he played with higher iq players i'd expect to see a major uptick in production, but if not, his floor is incredibly valuable
