Do you think my trade proposal is fair? I think it's close to fair but there might be too many cap dumps for it to go through. Also what do you figure Buchnevich gets on his next contract? Am I close? If not Buchnevich, I'd take Namestnikov or Kreider and maybe add more.

If the ranger guys were willing to sign that they would just keep them. You are making the rangers take on more cap space which defeats the purpose

I wouldn't mind Strome back. He's a nice 3rd line C and was well liked in the room. For a 3rd I'd do it, but I'm also open to trading JP to the Rangers to see if we can get Kreider. Something like JP + 2nd + something else for Strome and Kreider? Salaries would need to match up and since both teams are close the cap IDK how to make a trade work.

Ranger guys: Buchnevich, DeAngelo, and Lemieux are all NHL players thus they're cap hits would be counted toward the cap. Burying Brodziak and Manning actually saves them 2M + Strome's salary = 5M in cap to go to the RFAs. Maybe Buchnevich was the wrong target. Maybe it's Kreider or Namestnikov instead.

I mean I’d probably do like Bear, Pulju, and 2020 1st, for Kreider and Strome. But that’s probably too much money for you guys to take on...

I think that's reasonable, and maybe you can retain 50% on Kreider, it'll still save you cap. IDK about the 1st rounder though, Kreider's player type tend to not age well in the NHL so I'm not sure I'm willing to give up that much. Maybe a couple 2nd rounders or a 2nd and a 3rd would do it for picks.

yea i did, reading through the comments and seeing some feedback. Also seeing if it might work. Original trade was JP + Brodziak + Manning + 2021 2nd for Buchnevich + Strome. What're your thoughts on the new trade?
