Any plans with RFAs? (Pettersson and Aston-Reese)

Dude this is awful. Didn't even sign Pettersson or ZAR. Trading for Bredan Smith is laughable. We are trying to free up cap space not add a worse anchor than Johnson. Delete this.

Just looking at how they money will work before the rfas can be signed. 2.85m in bonuses, so they need at least that much in space.

I'm just looking at how it's going to be possible to sign the rfas with all the bonuses due. The Johnson/smith deal gives NY over 1 million in savings each year for the 1st 2 years. After that, they will have a lot of cap space so the final 2 years is less of a big deal.

Yeah it might hurt to see Smith coming but it actually means we have him for only 1 year in case of lockout (and pay him 1M in real dollars that year). In case of JJ we have that 3.25 longer.
