That's not a bad trade, we get rid of Hornqvist's 5+ mil and get Pulju for a third, EDM probably rejects bc they don't want Hornqvist's contract though

but Pulju is a bust if we are being honest about it. And Hörnqvist isn't really a cap dump yet. He's still a solid player.

Pulju is a bust in Edmonton... They have no clue how to develop prospects, and Hornqvist at best has basically no value and the team doesn't make you take a contract back bc his deal is about 1.5-2 mil too much for 2-3 years too long

I don't know where people get this Hornqvist has no value crap.
18 goals in 69 games last year battling injury....no value.
He had 29 goals in 70 games the year before.

put the drugs down

32? (Over 30 ik) PWF that's injury prone makes 5+ mil for 4 years and makes about 1.5-2mil more than most comparable players goal wise...

and yet somehow after joining the penguins he was hoisting up 2 cups in 3 years. You know, because he's no good. Having dumped in close to 70 goals in 3 years and another 16 in the playoffs.

You can keep arguing all you want. But he's not a negative value player. He's a good player.
His injury issues are over rated. He has never been out long term 12-13 games a season the last 3 years. That's not that big an issue especially for a net front guy who takes a beating.
Is his salary a little high. I don't know about that one either. Oshie makes roughly the same for Washington and their stats over the past 2 years are very comparable. So it is what it is.

What I do know, it he's not a cap dump.

I agree he's not a cap dump, and Oshie is also a guy that basically every caps fan a talk to wants out of WSH

I don't know many people who want to trade Oshie. His contract is long, that's what makes it a bad contract. but as of right now, he's fine and not the problem.

Hornqvist isn't worth $5 million a year. Perception of him is higher than his actual value. Now is the time to move him. You trade him before the rest of the league realizes his production is trending down.
