just a heads up on the Rantanen contract Less term = more money always. I gave him 4 so he comes off the books same time as Mack. If things don't work out as they are suppose to, they both go to FA and the team can rebuild. If things do work out, both him & Nate get paydays.

couldn't you just trade kadri and a 3rd for those players instead of getting kerfoot back just to trade him off again ?

This is by far the stupidest moves I have ever seen. I don't know if you just hate Kadri or what, but why essentially give him away for nothing after we just traded for him?

And no, shorter term does not mean more money. It is just the opposite. Shorter term means less money in the NHL. This isn't MLB. And you don't want Mack and Mikko coming off the books the same year. It should be staggered so you only worry about negotiating with one each year.

The Brassard experiment was a failure. He isn't coming back.

Edit: Brassard was worse than a failure. He was abysmal! A brass post would have shown more!
