how ru gonna afford stamkos and seth jones when ur near cap limit now (minus couple LTIR moves) ...leafs cant do it w/o moving a contract and a big one maybe 2 and why would columbus NOT match the offer sheet--when they need D and traded their top centre for him??? also toronto cant offer 8 years only 7 per CBA w/o a sign and trade completed..makes no sense sorry...leafs MAY get stamkos..(though prob detroit/buffalo bound)..but other than that their sticking to their rebuilding plan w/youth

Love it. Great lineup. This Detroit guy is just jealous because his team is old and we are getting Stamkos.

I'm gonna laugh so hard when stamkos goes to Detroit or any other team for that matter. I'll make sure to bump this post.

You can tell by my Leaf handle that I'm a Leaf fan. Personally I would rather not see Stamkos come to the Leafs, but that's me. But Seth Jones....at least on this sight, I think he most overhyped RFA available. I know teams should be paying for player's projected production, but Jones has never shown he has the ability to be top tier Dman. Bozak, doubt if he can be traded without some money coming back to the Leafs, which is almost true for all trades.

Agreed. I feel the same way about Stamkos as I do about potentially hosting an olympics....my heart would love to have them come to town but my head knows the costs could be devastating. For no real reason, I feel the same way about Seth Jones....and Barrie for that matter...not interested in paying either of them $6m+ and just hoping they develop into stars.

Bozak I don't see as being a hard piece to move as long as the leafs aren't too picky about only getting a 3rd or 4th rounder for him. His contract and term + the ability to play up and down your lineup make him affordable. Could just as easily see him moved for a vet d-man too.
