Well, how do you rate Rielly? He certainly isn’t a shutdown player, but it’s either Ceci or Dermott on the top pairing with him.

Reilly is a good top pairing offensive defenseman.
Pairings will be
Reilly-Ceci
Muzzin-Barrie
Harpur-Dermott

What is your opinion on Harpur? I have spoken to @SammyT_51 and he told me that he is a horrible stay at home defenseman. Should not even be in the ECHL, but he’s a Babcock favourite.

Rust scored 2 game winning goals in a game 7. One in 2016 against TBL and the other against WSH in 2017. He’s a 20 goal scorer who plays in all situations. Extremely versatile. Why shouldn’t his value be higher?

Well his career high in point for a season is 38. I'm not saying he's bad but I wouldn't trade a 1st rounder for him just like I wouldn't trade it for Fernando Pisani either

I feel like Dubas obviously sees something in him but if things don’t go well he’ll be an extra and Schmaltz would play with Dermott. Toronto has many options on D now before they even have to use Sandin or Liljegren.

Ah, I even have a hockey card of Pisani!

Yeah Sandin and Liljegren will make a great pairing after next season.

Check the back, is he worth a 1st?

You are making the wrong comparison. Rust has 2 cups and played a huge role in both those triumphs, Pisani didn’t.

Neither put up big numbers in the regular season but played well in the playoffs. Do you prefer Alyn McCauley?

Playoff performance > regular season performance.

Sure that's got some merit to it...I mean playoff games are so limited and mean so much more than a typical regular season game but hear me out for a second, Maybe juuuuuust maybe. Sometimes average players score goals at really fortunate times. I know its crazy but hear me out! The other day someone told me that JG Pageau was a better goal scorer than Auston Matthews because Pageau has 2 career playoff hat tricks to Auston's zero and I really felt like that was wrong.

I’ve heard conflicting things on that. Some people say he loves him and some people say he despises him.
