you're overvaluing your players by a mile. that is no where near drouins value and no where near gustavsson's value

The Hawks deal could be done too. They moved Kahun for Maata..... that's an overpay imo.

ive seen matheson play last year. he's more lost than drouin.

Matheson is a top 4D and Drouin is a top 6F. I think theyre pretty close in value. Also, Gustafsson only has a year left and Vatrano scored 25 goals so..

Although to answer the question, yes, seems very lateral to me.

I think FLA need to add-on... maybe something more complete like:
Matheson, Vatrano for Drouin (Best player in that trade skill set)+ Lindgren (You need a second G better than Montembault) and Yes MTL need to add a little like 3rd ) or Reilly if you prefer LHD Depth.
Mathy, Vatrano for Drouin, Lindgren +3rd... but If I am MB I won't do it TBH... always keep the best player in any trade.

(Habs fan here) The value is pretty fair Drouin for Matheson but we just signed Kulak and Chiarot for 3 years as or #2-3 LHD (behind Mete). So IMO we will keep Drouin and hope for a bounce back season unless a team is ready to give a LHD that is better than Matheson (that would be an overpaid). The way I see it the upgrade of Matheson over Kulak is not big enought to trade Drouin. Idk what the other habs fan was thinking but the value is their but like I said maybe not the best fit right now for the habs.
