Sending a HORRIBLE defenseman, making 5.4 mil to a team that doesn't spend money, for their 2 nd best young forward. Other than that, you know the difference between IR and LTIR...

Not sure if ottawa agrees, but this is the kind of move that makes sense for us. I think 2nd line center is a gaping hole that johansson does not fill, did botterill say he plans to use him at center? I thought he was brought in to help scoring on the wing. Unfortunately we might be out of moves with the space we have and assets we can move- to get a middle 6 center. Wouldnt shock me if rodrigues (who i think we way overrate) gets 2nd line center and larsson gets 4th. Then you end up moving sheary to line 4 and okposo to press box, or worse- keeping olofsson down in rochester. Its a reasonable lineup i can see happening on any given night though.
