Don't see either being worthwhile acquisitions for Arizona, definitely not worth giving up on either of Crouse or Merkley. They were already made to look pretty foolish with Domi AND Strome last year.

I personally think Crouse is going have a breakout season next year.

At the same time, I think Chayka sees some numbers to love if he looks hard enough at Stephenson's faceoffs and SHTOI, and he would probably take the pair of champs and a 4th for Merkley, even with his 1 (one) career NHL game played. Crouse, most likely not, unless he's started counting dumb penalties and just wants him gone.

I just dont think it makes too much sense for ARI. they have a plethora of solid 4/5 Dmen and losing a guy like Crouse, who seems to be really coming into his own right now, wouldnt make a lot of sense. I also think Merkley will battle for a roster spot this year and could fit in well as an offensive 3C for a team looking for more offense.
Not necessarily awful value just not a great fit for ARI
