Calgary just lost solid LD to ACL and needs D help and less cap to sign Tchuck. Tampa needs bigger experienced WInger

Colburn is solid LD on 2 year contract. Flames save 3M on cap in swap. Martel a throw in or could be 3rd round pick. Serg would go back to 3rd LD and Shenn Rutta Shatterkirk and some of Foote rotate on 2nd and 3rd RD .. or trade for Risto for a Gourde .. STILL THE EASIEST TRADE THERE.

Honestly this isn't too bad. If CGY retains some of Frolik's salary so Tampa can sign Point that's a solid trade.

Bad move for TBL imo. Moving Coburn essentially forces Sergachev to the 3rd pair which is a bad idea.

Why is KEEPING Serg on 3rd line LD bad? .. where he was this year.. by all measures he had a down year and needed to be sheltered against top lines because of own zone mistakes.. he struggles with D zone pressure.. whether it fore checking or D pinching to middle intercepting clearing passes.. we all know he can skate and look good but is really unproven and on the soft side which isnt great for playoff hockey.

As side note .. I really like Colburn but unless we change the mojo in top 9 forward base .. zero chance of Tampa winning Cup

He is your 2nd best d man. That is why playing him on the 3rd pair is bad.

SERG IS 2nd Best D on Tampa? .. wow what u smoking? .. don't be fooled by what he could be and focus on what he is .. McDonough and CERNEK WAY more valuable than a "maybe" ..

Not a bad trade but you just created salary cap hell. Only 20 players signed and point not one of them. You have under 7.5 million. What do you sign Point for and who will be the other two signed? I know your posts are about the trades but having Cederic as your #2 center just wrong.

Yeah I dont fix the lines .. too much work.. Paquette a perfect 4th line center .. like him alot actually given he led forwards in hits BY A MILE and does PK .. cap is manageable.. Subtract domingue and add above is around 2M .. throw in Erne if need to get to 9M for Point
