Belmont Cup SZN

Created by: AndrewLadd
Team: 2021-22 New York Islanders
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 13, 2019
Published: Aug. 13, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I think the isles will be legit cup contenders when Belmont is a thing. Let’s see how I can try and build them. Let’s say cap ceiling is 87500000 because I forgot to change it. Beau’s contract is after his bridge deal. After Sorokin’s 1 year entry level deal he takes a 2 year bridge l to prove his worth for a long term contract. Aho trade happens in 2021 offseason.

There is no reason to make the McDonough trade, not when you have Aho who can step into the 3 LHD spot for much cheaper. Mayfield, when Wilde makes the team, can be traded for offensive help or picks instead of taking on McDonough through 2026 and his age 36 season... it would be another Boychuk situation towards the end of that deal.
