Backes Gone and the Boys re Signed

Created by: OldNYIfan
Team: 2019-20 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 17, 2019
Published: Aug. 17, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Boston pays $4MM (and has a $4MM cap hit) in 2021-2022 that the Bruins would not otherwise incur, but needs no further adjustment to the roster to re-up McAvoy and Carlo at reasonable prices. (I've heard that Miller will start the season on the LTIR; if he's healthy, there isn't a team in the Pacific Division that wouldn't take him for their bottom pair in return for a fifth.)

I don't want him in Minnesota. And Boston doesn't want Backes in Boston. Moreover, Boston needs Backes not to be in Boston.

Aaah, now you guys are just yanking my chain because you know that Jacob Zboril, like Roland McKeown that is the centerpiece of another thread I've been immersed in today, was involved in a Dean Lombardi/Los Angeles Kings fiasco that still smarts.

Lol, I just think the wild.need to tear it down . Zboril is buried in Boston ,he needs a change of scenery.

He would automatically be the #1 LhD prospect in the Minnesota pipeline and the eventual replacement for Suter or Brodin.

I changed my mind. I'd forgotten that the main reason I'd selected Kuhlman is that he's from Minnesota. But I'll add a fourth to fill in your dance card.

Going to pass then. Kuhlman still has options. 2m in Cap savings but add another year. Not really worth it. They can just trade KMiller this year for a 4th for 2.5 savings and buyout Backes next year.

That won't do it. If McAvoy and Carlo together approach $12MM, you'll need to find about $5MM. Note that my construction already includes eliminating Miller's cap hit.

Moore starts the year on LTIR and Backes is buried. We are good. ??
