McAvoy doesn't sign that and that's a bad bridge deal for Carlo.

But that is probably What will happen at the start of the season when Boston can put them on LTIR. Only problem is that when they become healthy again Boston will have to pay to get rid of them.

carlo is awesome, but he's avergaed about 10 points a season. 4.5 is what you get him at for 6 years.

I try to stay calm and keep my cool, but omg, " he's avergaed about 10 points a season "

What the heck is this? Do you even know that he's a defensive dman???

Sign Carlo long-term & McAvoy, bridge. And when Miller and Moore are back, Bruins are in trouble so just make a move now

You seem to get emotionally involved with every post, and I don’t understand why.

It also seems like you’re not understanding the difference between on ice value, and contract value. There’s a difference. Points get you paid. If you could maybe find one example of a guy with Carlos kind of statistical offensive production that has gotten paid well on his second deal, I wouldn’t find your point of view laughable. If you could find three, I would actually find the notion worth consideration. As of now, you’re ignoring every piece of evidence collected over the last decade and a half since the salary cap was put in place. Do you think Carlo is the kind of generational defensive talent that he will completely break the mold for contracts? I guess I’d kind of have to respect that as an opinion

Carlo is not an offensive dman so you don't take only points in consideration. Defense also gets you $. Heard of Vlasic? By this means, Krug should have $9M

Cool. You know who does take points into consideration? General managers and agents. Can you find maybe one example of a guy like Carlo getting paid on his second contract?

No no. Don’t do that. Don’t try to paint my point as something that’s different. I love defensive guys. Carlo is my favorite player. Here’s what I’m doing though, I’m looking at literally allllll the contracts that have been signed with a salary cap, and I’m noticing this trend where guys that play the role that Carlo does don’t get paid on their second contract.

Could you maybe find one, just one example of a guy like Carlo that got paid on his second deal? You seem to think this stuff is really obvious, so it should be quite easy. Just one.

Want me to save you the trouble? It doesn’t exist. You’re just wrong about how defensive contributions have been valued in contract negotiations over the last 15 years

I base my opinion on evidence. You base yours on “BECAUSE I SAID SO”

At $2,825M, Ryan Murray is a legit comparison. Obviously, Carlo is better than he was so that's why, not 100% comparable.

Two years 2.85 million? Sure. That’s kinda hurting your argument

Off your entry, being the second overall pick is going to change things. So, can you find one example that supports your case?
