Logically Marner for his own wants must sign before the season starts....
If he doesn't he will get less and less money as the season goes on and if he doesn't want that (because who would) he is going to play a year in the Swiss league ?
Where the max contract is half of the minimum contract in the NHL and close to 9 million less than what he is being offered?

Marner's agent is losing his leverage day by day and this call to the Swiss league is just a desperate man trying his last few terrible negotiation tactics.

I agree he’s definitely one of the best insiders. Ferris still uses him for his negotiation tactics and Dreger eats it up. He’s just doing his job but this bit got tiresome with the Bennett and Anthanasiou negotiations.
