Quoting: Copenhagen
So you just sit in front of your computer ****ing at everyones point projection with nothing of your own, great job... Your the master...... BLAH BLAH BLAH
Are you asking for my predictions?
I don't generally do so, at least I haven't in years because its so hard to predict. There are so many variables.
Matthews is going to score well over a point a game this season. If he plays 82 games with Nylander, I think a 60 goal 40 assist, 100+ point season is very reachable.
Nylander I predict will score 25+ goals and 50+ assists at a minimum. I wouldn't be surprised if he scores 90 points but that is more likely if he actually gets decent PP time. (another babs issue)
Tavares will have a similar season to last year but I think Marner takes a small set back. Either way I think TO could have 4 guys in the top 25 in scoring this season.
They could have Rielly in there as well if the PP is a little bit luckier than it was last year. Its kind of weird but TO had the least Powerplays in the League last year, finished with the 8th best but in almost all underlining ways, TO had the best PP in the league. They were a fair margin ahead in expected goals on the PP but had some bad shooting percentages that lowered their success rate. A luckier season and they could have scored another 10-15 pp goals.
I know non Leaf fans want to see TO fail, and projections where Matthews and Nylander have middling point totals is just a weird fantasy for you guys but the only way it happens is if injuries occur. Hoping for people to get hurt is weird.
