With Helm, Abdelkader and Neilson there isn't much we can do. Buyout, pay a team to take them or bury them. Helm is still fast as s!@# maybe a team might give up a 4th or 5th if we retain some salary. But no one really wants Abdelkader or Neilson. I don't think Zadina comes up until around the half way point and I think we could see Rasmussen back up around the same time. He wasn't ready for the NHL last season and now that he can play in the AHL a half season there to boost his confidence a little. Thats what I think.

I agree with @aedoran . I think we set the kids up for success in GR (Veleno, ras, Zadina, maybe Svech) all playing top 6, build their confidence. Then we probably see at least a one or two of them in the latter parts of the season after injuries or trades. For now, I think we roll with Helm, Nielsen, LGD, Abby, Erne, DLR/Ehn depending on injuries. I think Svech has to get time this year with the big club but maybe they build his confidence back up playing with our better prospects in gr

At $1.8M I'd even sign Glendening for a couple more seasons.
