The Mitch Marner wildfire seems to be getting hotter with each day passing. The Marner camp with Darren Ferris on the one side asking for asinine amounts of money and on the other side Kyle Dubas and Brendan Shannahan who are trying to fit Mitch Marner under the salary cap without having to ship out any more of their players in order to sign him.

So as it seems the Marner situation is at a crossroads, I fully believe that if the Leafs don't sign him before the start of the season he will sit the year, and if he sits the year I believe the relationship will have become to broken to mend and he'll be either traded after December 1st or during the offseason. If they cannot sign him before the start of the season, there is a possibility of a trade but to whom. That question still remains because is their a team out there that would realistically sign Marner to his ridiculous demands.
