Description

For those who don't follow, or don't hear much about, the Ducks, but might want to post ACGM's for them, Anaheim GM Bob Murray stated yesterday that Ryan Kesler and Patrick Eaves will not play for the team this year.

Kesler had hip resurfacing surgery at the beginning of the summer, from which the recovery period is usually longer than a year. As a result, the future of his career is highly in doubt.

Eaves is a fuzzier situation. He has been struggling with a viral problem which was initially mis-diagnosed. It appears to me that he can be placed on the LTIR without impacting the team's cap situation at all.
