Description

According to most reports, these are the players on the block going into the season with hopes of moving 1 or more to get under the cap. I think by the TDL this year if the Pens are not in a playoff spot (which I anticipate they won't be) I feel that GMJR will be in a HOT seat by the end of the season. I feel that none of this has to do with the coaching staff or the players. Bad moves have put the Pens in a situation that handcuffs them to be a contender. And as the window is closing for Malkin, Letang, and Crosby.....the door maybe slamming behind GMJR on his way out.

I am not praising (or even saying that I am happy about) the Tanev signing. I am just pointing out the hypocritical nature of the mob and I can't help point out the mobs ridiculous over-reactions to things.

I do not think that Rutherford feels much stress or pressure at this point. He was okay with retiring before he came to the Pens. Lemieux had to talk him into it. He is having fun in Pittsburgh though which is why he is hanging around. But if things start to go south, I do not think that he will have any problems fading off into the sunset.

A 53ish year old guy that still wants to do this job for 20 more years will spend a year throwing the dice to try to keep his head above water.
