destroys the future in terms of picks but gives them a really good core that'll last about 5 years and a good young core to build around after that. don't know much about hawks and not as much about the west as the east so don't go ballistic if its not good

you usually only get cap problems by getting really good young players on long term deals which is worth it

That's too much for Miko. $10m on a 7 year long term deal, but doesn't matter, he just signed for a 6 year at $9.75

Keep DeHaan and move Maatta.

not that it matters anymore but if you wanted to pry a guy like Mikko off of the avs you would have had to overpay. Maata much younger than dehaan and more potential. Murphy had to go in this situation for cap reasons
