Thats what I would do too. He looks like he needs adapting to the ice but atleast he can keep up with play

Patty can still skate. But he shouldn’t be on the top line but when your team has five goals in four game you’ll try anything once. Yurtaykin has 2 shots, 0points and is a minus -1 in 3 games. It’s safe to say trying something new is ok right now ffs.

We should fire DeBoer for playing 4th liner Barclay Goodrow on the 2nd line. I'm ok with trying Patty out on the top line. He and Cooch played together a lot so maybe they can rekindle some of that chemistry. I'd give Yurt or Berg a chance on that 2nd line for a few games and see if they can build some chemistry

Maybe the most logical trade two wannabe Cup contenders would be, DeBoer for Babcock. Babcock hasn't been able to manage the Leaf lineup in years. Maybe he'll accidentally get it right with San Jose.
