Lily, sandin, SDA and Robertson are all very good picks.

I'd argue Dermott wasn't a bad pick either. He's someone who the Leafs really need and rely on, a lot more than they would if they had Aho. Aho's better, sure, but Dermott fills a need for the Leafs better than Aho does.

Would have loved to have Theodore instead of Gauthier, that would have solved a lot of problems.

Yeah, but you could trade Aho for Dermott and then some (and by some, I mean ALOT). I love Dermott, but you always go for best available, especially in hindsight. Remember Aho is ~ as good as marner.

SDA and Robertson are both scoring at a 2 points per game pace in the OHL this season (small sample size I know)

Liljegren and Sandin have both showed a lot of promise in their development and have put up great results in the AHL as teenagers.

No sure why anyone would hate on these picks or any pick made during the last draft. Way too early to know

i have no idea. people dont like lily because he isnt putting up empty calorie points in the ohl but all he looks like a steal along with Robertson and sandin. SDA wasnt great last year but seems to have the potential to be a middle 6 forward.

Fair enough.... but unlike some of these picks (Gauthier, Herzog, Korshkov) I have no regrets about it.

TO CLARIFY:
i'm not arguing that any of these are bad picks. I'm just saying who i think would have been better with hindsight. I love Dermott. But tell me you wouldn't rather have Sebastian Aho on your team. Sandin looks very good. But I think Romanov is going to be even better. Same with Liljegren and Poehling. Robertson was a great pick. I think Leason will be better

I think you say that because Leason has 2 years on Robertson (he's 20 y/o), thus he had inflated stats in the CHL. Robertson is better considering his production at his age.
