I think my main issue here would be the trainwreck of a bottom pairing that is MDZ and Holzer. I think if you want to really win this trade, swap Fast for Deangelo. We get a young right D that we need so badly, who seems to have a bad relationship with NY anyways. Sprong may be too soft of a player to include since he's a gamble still. Our future C depth is a bit better than NYs and we likely have an oddman out. Zegras is very likely our future 1C. Steel would likely be 2C and BO Groulx as 3C. That leaves Lundestrom or Morand as a possible trade chip. I would throw them in instead.

I would also spice up the conditions a bit, kind of noting what Salzy said. If we dont get an extension with Kreider we are paying a lot for a rental. Rather than having the 2nd go to a first if we make the playoffs, make that a first if Kreider resigns.
