Penguins decline the EDM trade. ZAR is worth more than a 4th. Highly doubt they move him at all.

LA declines the other trade. They would be lucky to do Martinez for Bjugstad 1 for 1.

I'm a Pens fan and I would gladly give ZAR for a fourth. Have you watched him play this season? A guy like him is holding some of our younger players who have played great from staying up.
I would happily give Bjugstad straight up for Martinez if that is what you are saying.

LA wants fast young players on the way up, not an overpriced third-liner who has already reached his peak. The Kings wouldn't take Bjugstad for Martinez even up and you don't have a 2020 second to send with him, so I don't think we can do business.

Why would you move ZAR to free up a winger spot when you can move out Rust Hornqvist or Bjugstad (assuming McCann plays 3C) to free up a winger spot and 3-5 mil cap space

Good question. You will see in the second trade that Bjugstad was moved as well for cap reasons. Rust is in line with the team identity of tenacious speed and pressure. Hornqvist is our only player that knows how to give a good net presence. would not touch him.
