He thinks the Bruins don't need any improvements for a playoff run. He thinks the Bruins will win the 2020 Stanley Cup as is. That's how dumb he is... ^

I’m all for improving the team, just not doing something stupid like you usually propose. Or like this. Not giving up a 1st to move Backes without moving his entire cap hit or bringing something worthwhile in return. This does neither.

I have no opinion on the overall value of the trade. If you know anything about Kovalchuk you would know he has 8 points in 10 games and is having a very good season right now he would also fit well with the Bruins. I personally don't want to trade him.

The ideas I propose are never dumb. Just bold and sometimes risky. Most people like my ACGMs. Just you and a couple idiots don't like my stylewink
Your team is a contender. They don't need a 2020 1st round pick. They are in win now mode while there seasoned core is still good..

Plenty of your ideas have been dumb, you are just incredibly conceited. You post something bad. People tell you it’s bad and you argue with them because you are genius in your own mind and can’t possibly be wrong. Lol.

Backes isn’t waiving for LA anyway so it’s a moot point.

There is no such thing as not needing a 1st round pick. Especially in todays game.

B’s will be looking for a rental and will try to upgrade without giving up the 1st. There is not going to be much on the market this year anyway. Last years sellers were loaded with UFAs to be. This year won’t be the case. Very few of them are worth a first. Combine that with a very deep draft coming up and Sweeney still angry about giving up the 1st to dump Beleskey and add Nash, you can pretty much guarantee he won’t do it again. Without moving Backes or both Miller and Moore their hands will be tied anyway.

Toffoli would be my target if they could clear some cap space. JG Pageau as 3C and move Coyle up to RW2 would be an ok option and give them more insurance in the middle. Then again it’s a long season, maybe an internal option steps forward.. Time will tell. The only move i’d be willing to make right now is to move Backes out in a deal they can live with. Not going to happen though. Would love to know who his 8 team list is.

No, none have been "dumb" if you learned anything about making ACGMs you'd know that they are hit or miss. Most of mine have been hits. Yes like everyone I've had my misses admittedly so. You might not know that though. You seem like one of those people that barely make ACGMs, but comment on everyone's posts and bash them and say they are dumb acting like you know everything. But don't take that to heart I haven't cared enough to look at your profile to say for sure.

Do you pull any muscles patting yourself on the back as much as you do? Just curious.

TOR gave up a late 1st Round pick to get rid of ONE YEAR of Marleau. You expect someone to take TWO YEARS of Backes and only giving up the same return? I figured getting Kovalchuk, who’s playing a lot better this season, taking back a chunk of his salary, AND taking Backes was worth a late 1st Round pick. Exchanging a 3C/4/C for a producing 2LW/RW, plus saving $2M this season and next season would greatly help BOS playoff run, and another pick would help the rebuilding Kings.
