Congratulations, you traded JJ yet somehow still found a way to make the team worse.

First realistic Saad trade that I have seen in a long time.

How is adding Martinez and Saad and removing Rust, ZAR, and Blueger making the team better? What is this? 2012?

Saad is an upgrade over Rust. Better offensively and just as good defensively. ZAR is solid, but gets replaced by Lafferty who is having a good season. Martinez is clearly a huge upgrade over johnson. Every player traded gets replaced by someone similar if not better

I see it as the team becoming slower (no doubt martinez is better than JJ but i dont think it fixes our underlying D problem) however i do see how you could think this would make the team better so I understand your point, just dont agree with it. Different opinions but thats gonna happen.

They have enough depth to where they can make trades and not really suffer from it. Once everyone is healthy, they have tough decisions on who to scratch. If those trades were to happen, it gets Johnson off the team while upgrading defense, and gaining saad who is a proven scorer and very good defensively and gets injured less

Fair point, I just think we could get someone better if we are going to remove rust and ZAR but i get what you mean.

Ya maybe, especially if teams are injured and desperate, but rust and ZAR aren't really anything that special. Solid players, but teams have ZAR type of players in their prospect pools and Rust type of players could be found in FA.

Personally I love rust, you can stick him anywhere in the lineup and he will play well. he knows his roles on each line and plays them. he also forechecks and has a lot of speed. And I especially love his willingness to shot block. I absolutely adore players who block shots, just my personal hockey ideology. In my own games I will block at least 5 shots a game. Idk i just love that so i love rust too much to trade him lol

Oh ya I get what you're saying. I love rust too and think he's a good fit.
