I love trashing EDM but I don’t think Klefbom is a laughable return, you can say no or that it’s just not gonna happen but idk if that’s a terrible trade.

The only issue I can see is that by the summer of 2021 Klefbom will only have 2 years left on his contract while Ehlers will have 4 years of team control left. Of course, Klefbom's deal is $2M cheaper at an unbelievably good rate.

The players themselves though have fairly even value at this point.

No, I wouldn't take that if I were the oilers. Draisaitl is much younger than pietrangelo, and probably already better. Plus the oilers have lots of young defensemen that are going to take roster spots, so we don't really even need him.
