Description

Team doesn't need better bottom 6 players if all their bottom 6 players are healthy and actually in the bottom 6, not in the top 6. Getting another winger for nugent-hopkins is essential, and there's a market out there for top 6 wingers right now. Oilers have an excess of prospects, they can afford to lose a few to put themselves over the top this season.

MOVES:
- Waive Granlund. Play dies on his stick every single time he touches the puck.
- Waive manning once Larsson comes back (for obvious reasons, he sucks)
- Also move Benning once Larsson comes back. Once again, put simply, he sucks, but would have use on a team that needs D badly.
- Toffoli would likely be much cheaper than Kreider, and the oilers definitely don't want to be giving up their first in a stacked draft, even if they make the playoffs.

obviously wouldn't be worth it if we miss and he leaves- probably happens around the deadline when we're confirmed 'decent', and he'd sign an extension shortly after

I could see the Kings doing something like that, but they would want the pick to be in this coming draft, not 2021.

then they wouldnt be getting the prospect too. its an overpay as it is, if they get greedy they can go trade him somewhere else

Not a Toffoli fan, he's too slow for the game Tippett is trying to play. And thats a huge, HUGE overpay for him anyhow.

And Benning is worth a 2nd.
