Description

So this is what I would do for the next game if I were Mike Babcock just to shake things up. Might wake up some people.

Line #1
Matthews - Tavares - Marner
Money line. This is a "go prove yourself" scenario. Make them prove how good they really are against the best.

Line#2
Mikheyev - Nylander - Kapanen
Nylander is a natural center, Kappy is his best bud and matches with him well and Mik deserves to be there.

Johnsson - Kerfoot - Moore
Solid energy line

Line #4
Petan - Gauthier - Spezza
Surprisingly effective thus far.

D-Pair #1
Rielly - Barrie
It would be fun to watch just to see what happens. They might dominate and not actually have to play defense. Besides, it's not like Ceci can defend better than Barrie.

D-pair #2
Muzzin-Ceci
Muzzin might be defensively good enough to cover Ceci's mishaps better than Rielly does.

Same old, seems alright so far.

Leafs dont experiment enough with different line combos

I think the best super line the Leafs could make would be Tavares centering Matthews and Nylander.

I say this because I think Nylander is the best player on the Leafs at gaining the offensive zone with control, that alone makes him the better choice since he's also almost as good a Playmaker as Marner. Tavares would do the downlow stuff and go to the net and Matthews can do what he likes to do which is find soft spots in the zone for quick shots.

I'm all for trying new things. Why not? Our coach isn't though. No way this ever happens with Babcock at the helm IMO.
