Selling? Come on dude, don't be one of those doom and gloom guys. This team will be judged on how deep they go in the playoffs. I actually think the LA game was important as the Leafs played a very strong patient game. They gave LA pretty much nothing offensively (I know not a huge feat) and then waited for their chances and when they happened they capitalized. I want them to hound the puck a little more but this is the blueprint for them.

Definitely not doom and gloom lol but I think trading Barrie and others could help build-up our farm system and recoup some picks for us. Personally, I prefer as I don't think our team is ready to take the next step at least until Babcock is gone.

I get what you're saying but this is the NHL the talent/skill level/level of compete is much higher and harder. I just think on top of that plus covering up for Rielly + the increased ice time might be too much for him and overwhelm him which could hurt his progression. Sure he's the best option we currently have but Dubas needs to invest more into the D.

I don't think so, I think he'll excel. I think certain guys need to be given more of a chance to succeed. I think Dermott is going to turn heads, he is such a good skater and stops entries extremely well. He's also stronger than people think, he is a baby face so he looks small but he's sturdy and isn't afraid to push back. I think he could surprise and you just won't say if he can handle it until he is give a chance.

Babcock has the year and we may as well go for it. I don't think much change will come but I think some guys are better than people think and honestly if Dermott earns the top pair, I'd definitely move Ceci because I think Holl may already be better than him.

He certainly could surprise and I would live for him to prove me wrong. I'm also ok with giving him a chance this year but in time as he just came back. That being said our D would be much stronger if we could bring in a partner for MO and put Dermott on the 2nd pair. He is a very good skater, stops zone entries welll and also moves the puck quite nicely but he's playing weaker comp, less minutes and doesn't have to cover for Rielly. Also, I never said he wasn't strong actually I think quite the opposite.

I don't mind Ceci for the year but he would be the first one I would move to save $. I do like Holl and think he will be back next year and if dermott does take his spot I can see Ceci being traded as we have Holl but it will take time as I alluded to in my previous comment Dermott just came back from injury.
