ok so when hes right hes a pretty good offensive player. Maybe the change of scenery thing works with him. Even when hes right hes terrible in his own zone so who knows. I liked dlr well enough but 4th liners isn't that big a need. lets just hope fabri stays healthy long enough to figure it out.

he definitely has offense to his game but like most of these guys hes so soft on the puck. Hes a young guy sometimes sitting and watching is good motivation for them. I cant believe how much they turn the puck over when its in their possession. Mantha drives me crazy, hes so casual with the puck and his passes I want to scream.

Oh I completely agree. Mantha plays so much like franzen with the inconsistent play. Mantha just has more skill whereas Franzen was more reckless and physical. But hirose is young, a lot of our guys are. They’re going to make mistakes. This is hirose’s first full season and he’s done a solid job. Not his fault that his teammates can’t finish. Him, Larkin, and hronek are the only ones who can consistently enter the zone on the PP so he’s crucial to the team

A part of me wants to see hirose on the top line with mantha and Larkin and have Bert go to the 2nd line with Nielsen/filp and AA. I think Bert is lowkey a top 3-4 player on our team, but AA’s line needs someone who’s consistently engaged like Bert

well I think with fabri in the fold he gets put right in at lw with AA and either helm or mantha. I thin hirose is going to end up settling on that third line with perlini and filp at this point. Idk who knows how they shuffle it up.

A lot of Hirose's success last year was because he clicked and could keep up with AA. The last 2 games AA has looked really good and was Detroit's best player in those 2 games and it looks like AA is getting his confidence back.
