Also disproved that. A defensive defenseman with majority defensive starts and PK time who doesnt have positive possession stats is not shocking. And again with 5 GAs thats not McCabes fault.

A defensive defenseman should still be able to pass out of his own zone. Scandella of all people had similar Defensive start percentages and showed better results

Scandella is the only dman ahed of McCabe with TA/GA average by .7 with and only had 2 GA, but with less games and against weaker opponents. Scandella was also off to a pretty good start

Based on? Youre opinion? The same opinion that has McCabe as a turnover king, despite McCabe statistically being the complete opposite?

Yeah its my opinion as is everything you say. Nothing is fact. But in the 5 years McCabe has been here he has hurt his teammates. Only once has he had a seaon with a WAR over .5.

Hes currently top ten on the team in WAR and GAR. Currently Skinner and Eichel arent over .5 in WAR

Yes, need talent in top 6, but physically powerful players are also needed, especially Foligno, our team is too soft, and players like Sobotka, Vesey, Sheary and Rodrigues give nothing to this team.

You guys seem to have the skill vs tough thing handled, i dont know the answer, ive seen teams that are soft win and ive seen teams that are nails win. Also seen san jose and some tough stl teams kill each other in round one and wear out before reaching the finals. The sabres are definitely in the softer end of the pool, the problem is that at least our bottom 6 if not bottom 9 arent all that skilled either (obvious exception for skinner). If we had 3 stud lines and scored on pp in the playoffs (if the refs dont put the whistles away), it could be fine. The problem with the post that i am replying to is that our current gm acquired 3 of the 4 players- sheary, vesey, and sobotka. I dont remember if murray or botterill signed rodrigues. I dont see all of these players being moved out by the guy that acquired them.

Well, he can’t just sit and do nothing, he will lose his job if the team again fights for the top 10 picks.

Sobotka and Sheary have had their chance and are on expiring contracts so i dont see him keeping them for that reason.

Vesey, too, I'm not even sure that he wants to be in Buffalo.
