Bruins gearing up for a cup. Acquiring hall and toffoli to really shore up their offence, but they have to trade away depth pieces making a lot and have to give draft picks to entice teams to do so

There is no need or desire for Hall. It’s an overpayment for a rental they would never re-sign.

Those are all overpayments.

Rangers trade is terrible. They would not trade Kuraly or Heinen for those guys straight up.

All to clear cap for a player they don’t want or need. Not good at all. You have made the team worse. Short and long term.

All they need to do is upgrade RW2 and add a depth piece C that would be an insurance policy against an injury. They could do that simply by getting a decent C3 and moving Coyle to RW2. Kills 2 birds with one stone.

I think this is pretty darn overboard. They don’t need another LW. Sure, Hall is good, but he would be a pure rental, they’re not giving up Vaak for a rental. They’re definitely not giving him up along with two players off their roster that are young, and a first round pick. No way.

Toffoli stinks. That trade makes them worse.

What the hell is that Kuraly trade? Do you know who he is? They’re not moving him for nothing.

It’s tough to say you’ve made the team worse when you acquired Hall, but I think the team is worse, and you’ve given up 4 young roster players, a top prospect, a first, and two thirds.

If Sweeney made all these trades today, he should be fired tomorrow.

Bruins overpay on all of trades...

Hall is worth a lot, but is also a rental so that is too much (and he isn't playing great this year either, not bad, but nothing special)
The NYR one could be Mckegg and a 3rd rounder for Kuraly maybe, but Take out Moore and the bruins 3rd rounder lol
Heinen and a 3rd gets the bruins tofolli easily.

From a production standpoint, Toffoli and Heinen are basically a wash, but Hienen is under team control and at a decent hit. So basically you traded Ritchie + Miller + 3rd for Roy. $28k in cap space and only 22 men on the roster....terrible asset and cap management.
