Description

Haydn Fleury, IMO, is ready for full-time minutes and has proven to be capable of not only playing, but excelling, on his off-side with Jake Gardiner as a pairing. TVR is good, but expendable as he is a pending UFA and likely to be in high demand as a 2nd or 3rd pairing RHD. The team with the most need at RHD is by far Winnipeg, though Pionk has been far better than advertised, and could use a deal like this to bring their defense to playoff-caliber. Canes acquire another pick to either package for someone at the deadline or keep for the 2020 draft.

TVR sucks and thats a huge overpay!

Would much rather have Beaulieu who's been solid since coming to the Jets, Chisholm who's a steadily improving prospect and that 3rd then an overrated bottom pairing dman.

I posted this today but didn't get many replies, just wondering would a trade of Markstrom and a fifth for Reimer, Luke Martin, and a 2020 Leafs First work?

Personally, I think that the Canes will stand pat on the goaltending even though Reimer and Petr were both slumping these past few games. Goalies are weird and I think that their focus is still on acquiring a top-6 forward before the deadline, though Foegele's looked good in the top-6 the last few games.
