In this scenario, the Jets are buyers and acquiring rentals for their playoff push. Those players are rentals. Don’t overpaid. I think Winnipeg should avoid looking at at high end defenceman which will come at a high end price.

The Jets should look at teams deep on defence and attempt adding a bargain to the defence corps.

I look at Montreal and their early success, and wonder if Chiarot hasn’t been a stabilizing effect on their blueline. Is he worth the $3.5M and is there regret he wasn’t signed in the summer?
