I hope Matthews and Tavares start getting PK time. Why not try them out.

If u wanna get technical Ceci is the leafs best defensemen right now just look up all the possible stats u can. everyone hates him and thinks he’s bad because he doesn’t make that flashy pass or move to get open and free to score a goal or get a nice assist, he’s a stay at home guy who can play 20-22 minutes a night and be an above average defensemen not a big offensive guy

It's not because he's not flashy or offensive that I don't like him. It's cause he's not those things while also sucking at defense. His mistakes and missed assignments are HUGE, just as bad as Rielly, but Rielly makes up for it in offense. As Concerned Children's Advertises emphasised in their "What's your thing?" commercial....."nobody's good at everything, but everybody's good at something". What's Ceci's thing?

You're right, they should be able to do it. Tavares I'd be willing to try right now....but Matthews shorthanded? That would be like being down 5-on-3...

Why? He isn't afraid to block a shot and I think he'd welcome the challenge.

I'm sure he would SAY he welcomes the challenge, but have you watched his D-zone coverage? He's like Gretzky but backwards, always 2 steps behind...

That is troll nation rhetoric. Its not at all truthful, there has been a handful of moments where he made a mistake and it resulted in a goal. But like pretty much all of TO's defensive issues, its a systematic problem.
