Montreal isn't trading Mete for Sergechev. Sergechev simply doesn't fit into our system. We need guys who play defense.
I like that Haydn Fleury trade though. Put him beside his brother.
We could get more for Weal, no point in trading him.

For sure so hard to see who would fit with Weber, Do you let Weber be the Defensive D? if so he needs a Puck mover or do you let Weber be the Offensive D? If so a Brenden Dillon type would be good. But then your Zone entries would need to be super effective up front which they have never been.

Ideally, you'd want a two way guy. I've never seen Weber as active as he is this year. He actually joins the rush and will go into the corners in the offensive zone when needed. That's why Mete is such a good partner for him, they can both join the rush when needed, but also defend when it needs to be done. If I had to choose one, I'd rather get an offensive guy and let Weber defend.

Why trade Tatar? He is leading the team in points.

I'm a pure future guy, I don't care about how well we do now, it's all about the future. Tatar's 28, has 2 years left and is going to demand a lot of money. His trade value is at an all time high. I don't know where I said I would trade Tatar right now, I'd prefer we wait until we have a younger guy replace him, but if we weren't going for it this year, now is the time to trade him.
