Leafs Blues

Description
All these rumours surrounding blues and Leafs, I just a lot fans thinking Leafs can rob them for Parayko or Pietrangelo. Why not create a bold move for both sides
Rielly is stud no doubt, but so is Parayko and he’s a better fit for Toronto’s needs as our PK is terrible as was our biggest downfall against Boston in the playoffs last year along with Kadri’s suspension. Adding Parayko to the PK unit helps Leafs more than losing Rielly hurts our power play. Furthermore Barbashev has more of the attributes that we miss from Kadri than Kerfoot does. He adds some sandpaper to the bottom 6 that is sorely missing in Toronto.

Muzzin is FA and is 30. Rielly is going to be a Norris finalist one of these days, if you have one of those, you don't trade it. Rielly is better than all out other defenders and its not close.

30 isn’t that old for his style of play. And I mean Weber, Subban x2, Karlsson, Hamilton x2, Jones, are Norris finalists or winners that have been traded recently. Point is you have to give something to get something and I don’t know think you get Parayko for less than Rielly

Then you don't get him. Rielly is better, if you move an asset you better be getting equal value and Parayko isn't equal. I don't get why some Leaf fans always feel like they need to make some sort of blockbuster all the time. The roster is sick, the defence is great and the system Babs used was terrible for what the Leafs have. Keefe is turning it around and how about lets wait to see how everyone plays in that before we go moving one of our superstars.

I’m good with waiting and seeing how they look with Keefe at the helm. This was more about all the talk about Armstrong scouting the Leafs personally brought a lot of Pietrangelo and Parayko talk. Age and term means I’d want Parayko. It would cost Rielly. That would sting but, Parayko is better than Rielly at every aspect of being a defensemen except carrying the puck. With the Leafs offensive fire power, Parayko’s points go up anyway. The majority of Rielly’s points come from secondary assists. You’re over valueing Rielly’s offensive impact and dismissing Parayko’s defensive impact. I’d rather win the Cup than a Norris

Rielly is better than Parayko

This is a horribly 1 sided trade.

1- Uhh, no.
2- Uhh, no.

And to this trade idea: Uhh, no.

Rielly moves the play up the ice better than almost any other defenceman in the world. With a better defensive system, Rielly's defensive numbers will rise.

For forwards, that is when they usually enter their prime and for defenceman its about a year later. Rielly is terrific. So is Parayko. These teams won't make a blockbuster. I'd be shocked if they did.

I’d be shocked at a blockbuster trade too. Just made it because I don’t see Armstrong scouting a team personally if it’s a trade of bottom pair defensemen or bottom six forwards really. I would be choked to actually see Rielly go as he’s my favourite Leaf and should be the captain. But this team is in need of defensemen that can clear the front of the net and stay in his damn area when on the PK ( knock on Ceci not Rielly obviously)
