Who would you start a franchise with

Created by: OutCold13

Description
If I had my choice of players to start a team with I'm taking McDavid and for goalie I'll take Gibson.
If it is for game 7 of the Stanley cup I'm taking Ovi, and Fleury. Who would you take in these situations I expect a lot of McDavids but I'm guessing we will see a few shockers.

I'd go with MacKinnon. He is a bona fide #1 C in this league ( who's stats are in par with the "elite" guys ) with a cap hit that you can't beat and still signed to at least 3 years before he gets "that" contract.

I start a franchise with Jack Hughes and Carter Hart. Go super young.

If it's Game 7 of the SCF I take Kane and Fleury.

Either Draisatl or Mackinnon on those super cheap contracts.

Hughes to me isn't a sure enough thing yet to beat out the other guys. Hart, I can understand that pick. I like your youth angle though. I like Kane but have never really thought of him as clutch. Nicely done.

2010 scored the Cup winner. 2015 had the dagger against us

I love MacKinnon, but it’s hard argue against McDavid. His contact is going to age nicely too as the cap continues to go up, especially when Seattle comes into the league and the new TV deal kicks in over the next couple years.
