2 big things:

-I don't recommend that Hall trade without a fat extension in place

-That Wild trade is bad, Suzuki looks like a young stud, it isn't worth using him to unload Alzner and not get anything near him in value back.

Other than that the Tampa and Dallas trades are interesting

To be fair Brodin and Donato bring quite nice value back...but point taken.

that tampa trade is horrendous. petry has a bad stretch and now you're trading a top 4 right shot D in his prime for a middle 6 winger.

Since when Gourde has been a mid-6 winger? He's pretty much a constant 50-point TOP6 winger. He plays in the 3rd line in TB due to their depth, but his statistics are far above that...

Also MTL gets some picks and player that's signed quite long-term...there's no way they'd get a better offer than this.

mtl can get a 1st rd pick and a really good prospect for petry. tampa wins this trade easily. just because gourde is french canadian, doesn't mean the habs will trade one of their best dmen over the past 4 years for him

1st rd pick and a good prospect would equal to the return that of Stone got...that's laughable.

Also Gourde+2nd+3rd is worth around a 1st plus prospect, so...

he's a top 20 dman in the league. habs have no incetive whatsoever to trade him, esp to a divisional rival. 6'3 pmd in thier prime who can play pp pk and play top mins is a luxury. he easily gets a top prospect and 1st rder in return.
