That's a very broad claim "all better at hockey", what is hockey? Points, hits, forecheck, puck handling, shots, etc. I wouldn't take Hyman or Moore over Shaw. Johnsson and Mikheyev for sure.

I'll be honest when I say Moore as he hasn't proven alot yet and is mostly better due to his potential and his contract but Hyman is seriously underrated man. He is ****ing good (better than Mik) and easily better than Shaw and it really isn't close. On top of that he is on a much better contract.

I don't know. Hard to judge Hyman when he's playing next to a couple of top 50 players with one being a top 10.

That is what isolating analytics are for, but you seem reluctant to use the tools given

Analytics are an important part of an analysis of a player but it's not the end all as coaches and players alike will tell you, especially some CORSI. Analytically, you can not extract the fact that Hyman is on the ice with two top 50 players in the league. The opposing team is accounting for the other two guys more then Hyman. When those two are on the ice, it opens up space for Hyman. Analytically speaking, no analytics will perfectly account for this.

No, but they help a lot and statistically do better than we can in our heads. Just because something isn't perfect doesn't mean it isn't helpful

Helpful yes, but the eye test is just as helpful. One tool or stat tells only part of the story.

Yes, and these particular tools tell you what a player is like isolated from his teammates.
