Rangers have paid enough of his salary at this point in the season where it will fit under the cap, similar to how Muzzin fit under the cap last season

I'm not 100 percent sure, but even though the leafs are in LTR they still might be up against the cap. Though I believe they could still fit DeAngelo's inexpensive salary in under the cap.
P/S - Love your headline to your profile, "Get off my lawn." Think of the scene from the great movie Gran Torino whenever I see it.

Would have to make the 3rd round pick a 2nd round pick in my opinion. I believe there will be teams offering up a 1st round pick for Georgiev.

They need straight salary in-salary out moves due to being on LTIR. Fitting in DeAngelo and Georgeiv (which I'd love to see them do) means they would have to clear the room first.

A first? Good for the Rangers then. He's a backup with average career numbers who is no longer wavier exempt (or will not be shortly). Sure he's good, and he fits in what the Leafs need, but if you're getting a first (or even a second) that's robbery.

He's a good young goalie and still very much improving.
