Bertuzzi's comparable is Tom Wilson (5x5.166m). Bert will probably score a little more than Wilson (though not at 16.4% shooting percentage), so look for Bert to get around 5.35-5.5x5 (unless there is a massive cap jump).

Hockey Reference has Similarity Score (which compares guys to other guys at that same age/experience level), and his is compared to Tomas Tatar (it's not style based, it's production based). Tatar got 5x4.8mm at a very similar age to Bert. With the cap raise, that would put him close to 5x5.25mm.

I wish people would stop overpaying Fabbri. He's not been hurt for the 14 games he's played in DET, but he wasn't healthy since 2016. He's not getting 3mm+ (I expect a 1 year, 2-2.5mm prove it deal).

That's pretty much where I expect Bertuzzi to sign as well, but if he keeps his pace he will outproduce Tatar by the end of the year, which is why I have him at higher. I disagree with Fabbri though, I think $3-3.5M is realistic on a shorter-term year, if his production continues. $2M is too low for me, if he stays healthy all year and keeps producing like he has. He's been our best/most consistent player with Mantha out. I know it is a very short time-span since he's arrived, but if he continues, as I said, it should be higher. If he drops off or gets injured, then sure it will go lower. Or he could get moved at the deadline, who knows.

The big difference between Wilson and Bertuzzi is even with no Mantha(IR) and the rest of the Wings having trouble scoring Bertuzzi keeps putting up points. Now with Wilson he isn't going to put up points without help. At the start of the season I would've agreed you 100%. With Fabbri if he keeps up this pace he could $3M or more.

Come on really? A 25 year old Athanasiou for a 34 year old Goligoski whom doesn't even fit our rebuild. This is a total joke. AA will be moved for only a 2020 1st round pick or a younger LHD prospect that's it.

Go listen to the recent "Wings for Breakfast" Podcast on the Athletic. They talk about the Wings bringing in a veteran on a one year deal for the bottom defensive pairing to mentor Seider and Cholowski. Arizona will need to move some money to take on Athanasiou. Moving Gologoski does that and the Wings have the cap space to account for it, especially since it's only for 1 year.

Why would Yzerman sell AA short then? Trading AA for Goligoski makes no sense unless Arizona is sweetening the pot quite a bit. Not sure where their 2020 1st round pick stands right now will look it up here shortly. But if Yzerman made this move dealing AA for this we Wings fan would demand his head. Can't see Yzerman making this move he can get a far better return then this for AA whom needs a change of scenery elsewhere. Edit Arizona's 2020 1st round pick is #20 overall. Not sure it's enough.

It's not about AA for Goligoski. It's about AA, 3rd, and $$ for a 1st, 3rd, 5th, and only one yr of Goligoski
