It's an upgrade with Pageau, but it doesn't address the need for a top 4 RHD. I wouldn't want to re-sign him over 4.5m, so if he leaves that's a big hole to fill at 3C without Roy.

Stastny will probably have to be moved in the offseason with 1-2m retention to free up some space on his remaining year. I doubt teams will be eager to pay him 6.5m to be a 3rd liner, but he'd still be very useful to VGK in this years playoffs IF they make it.
